The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred at an intersection near Columbus Road just before 6:00 p.m.
It was reported that the victim and his friend were turning onto Montpelier Ave when they heard shots. The passenger a 24-year-old male, realized he was struck in the head. The victim was driven home and was taken to the Coliseum Northside hospital by a family member. When he arrived, the hospital was placed on lock-down but it was later lifted. The victim is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured. There is no further information on the suspect at this time.
