Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred just before 9:00 p.m., near 890 Emery Highway, Fort Hawkins Package Store.
Deputies responded to the hospital in reference to a male suffering from a gunshot wound. It was reported that 32-year-old Samual Lee Smith III was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. He is listed in critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation. Additional information will be provided once it becomes available.
