The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 6:26 p.m.
It was reported that a mother took her three-year-old child, who was struck by gunfire in the Millerfield Road area, to the Piedmont Hospital by personal vehicle. The three-year-old was then transferred, by ambulance, to the Atrium Health Navicent. The child is listed to be in critical condition.
Investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
