Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an aggravated assault that took place at a car wash, located in the 500 block of Pio Nono Avenue. The incident occurred at around 11:23 p.m, Tuesday.
It was reported that a person was shot at the car wash and walked over to the Macon-Bibb County Fire Station, that was located across the street. The victim was identified as 59-year-old Freddie Crowell. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. Crowell was originally listed to be in stable condition. Crowell’s status has since been upgraded to critical, but stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.
