Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to the Navicent Center this morning at around 2:30AM about a person that had come into the hospital with a gunshot wound. It was reported that the 42 year old male victim was walking to a store on Hillcrest Avenue when he was approached by a black male wearing all black clothing with a black t-shirt or cloth wrapped around his face and pointing a gun at him. The male suspect told the victim to come over to him. The victim turned away from the suspect and ran. As he was running away, he heard two gunshots and said one of the bullets struck him in the neck.
Morales said he went to the hospital after being struck. He is listed in good condition and stable. No further information is available on the suspect.
