The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that happened at 1803 Pio Nono Avenue, Citgo just after 05:30 a.m.
It was reported that there was a physical altercation in the parking lot of 1803 Pio Nono Avenue. During the altercation, 59-year-old Carl Bruce Thomas of Macon, was shot. Thomas was transported to Atrium Health and is listed in critical condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident. Investigators are looking into what lead up to the shooting.
The suspect is described as having dark skin wearing a black shirt with designs and black pants wearing a backpack. Investigators are also asking for assistance in locating a white Nissan Altima with tag number RKL1919 which was seen leaving the area. A picture of the suspect is attached to the release along with a female that was with him.
