Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call at 3783 Rice Mill Road at around 1:45AM Wednesday morning in reference to a person reported to be shot. Deputies made contact with 43 year old Eric Lawrence at the residence. Lawrence said he heard a noise outside his home. When he opened the door to see what the noise was, he saw to “figures” standing in a field near his home. He stepped outside his home and asked them what they were doing. The two people told him to go back inside his home and one of them fired a gun towards the house. One of the bullets struck Lawrence in the right leg, near his shin.
Lawrence was transported to the Navicent Health Center by ambulance to be treated for his injury. He was later released from the hospital. He described the two suspects as black males, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet in height. Both suspects were wearing white t-shirts. No further information is available on the suspects.
