Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to 2324 Chappell Street just before 10:30PM Wednesday night in reference to an aggravated assault incident. Deputies met with 53 year old Lorenzo Poole at the residence. Poole stated two subjects opened his screen door but did not enter. A tall male wearing a ski mask and khaki colored pants waved a shotgun in the room. The other male subject was standing behind the first male with a handgun. Poole stated both subjects backed out of the door and fled on foot. As the suspects fled a gunshot was heard.
Deputies also met with 33 year old Robert Williams, who had returned to the location of the incident. It was reported at around 10:00PM Williams dropped his girlfriend off at his friend’s house located at 2324 Chappell Street. He stated he waited outside in his vehicle, a 2007 Cadillac CTS, champagne in color. Williams stated as he was sitting in the vehicle, four to five black males, dressed in all black clothing with bandanas covering their faces approached his vehicle. Two of the male subjects were armed with a gun. Williams said one of the males tried to open the driver’s side door of his vehicle. Williams said he drove off from the location and heard a gunshot hit the rear of his vehicle. He later found two bullet holes in the rear of his vehicle. Williams had his two children, which are also his girlfriend’s children, in the vehicle with him at the time of the incident.
