The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred at 4150 Arkwright Road, The Vista Apartments at 3:34 p.m. this afternoon.
It was reported that a 19-year-old male was shot while in the parking lot near the 12 building. It was reported that there was an altercation between the victim and an unknown male subject. During the altercation shots were fired and the victim was struck on the right shoulder and ear. The vehicle he was driving, sometime during the altercation, struck three cars in the parking lot, no one was inside the vehicles. He was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in stable condition at this time. The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived.
A second 20-year-old male sustained minor injuries during the time of the altercation, but it is unclear at this time if the injuries were related to the altercation. He was driven to the Coliseum Northside and is listed in stable condition at this time.
No one else was injured in the incident. There is no further information on the suspect at this time.
