Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to the Kroger at 5928 Zebulon Road in reference to an aggravated assault incident that occurred just after 10:00PM Wednesday night. It was reported that a group of young black males were walking from the front parking area of the shopping center near Kroger when one male started a fight. The group was moving between the alley that runs between the Kroger and the Am-Star Movie Theater.  A vehicle described as a light blue Mazda 3 pulled up in the parking lot during the incident. It was reported that a gun was seen stuck out of the rear passenger window of the vehicle and 5 to 6 shots were fired up into the air.  The vehicle was driven by a black female and fled the scene. No one was struck during the incident.

 

Deputies were dispatched just before 12:00 midnight last night to the Quick-Med at 5925 Zebulon Road in reference to an assault. Deputies made contact with four males at the Quick-Med. One of the males, Donnie Glover, reported that he was at the Kroger on Zebulon Road with the other three males. He said he went behind the Kroger where the other three males, Brandon Bivins, Jarvis Jackson and Michael Zackery were fighting with another group of approximately eleven black males. He stated during the fight he was tripped, fell to the ground and was struck by several males. He had a swollen eye and scrapes on his knees. Jackson had an abrasion above his left eye and Zackery had an abrasion on his left eyelid and scrapes on both knees.

 

Jackson reported while walking from the Kroger approximately eleven black males approached him, Glover, Bivins and Zackery. One of the males in the other group lifted his shirt, displaying a gun. He said the group followed him and his friends into the alley between the movie theater and the Kroger, jumping on him and his friends. Zackery also reported the eleven males followed him and his friends into the alley and jumped on Jackson. Zackery said he began fighting to defend himself. He also said when Glover walked up several males jumped on him and started attacking Glover.
