The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing incident that took place at around 3:10p.m., Saturday at the Shadow Wood West Apartments, located at 4344 West Highlands Drive. It was reported that a male juvenile suspect knocked on the door of an apartment in the 100 building. 17 year old Deaudre L. Searcy, who lives in the apartment, answered the door and the two began to argue. The argument became physical and then the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed Searcy in the left arm.
The suspect fled the scene and Searcy was transported to the hospital for treatment from the injury that he received. Searcy is listed to be in stable condition and remains at the hospital.
Investigators are continuing to interview possible witnesses to the incident. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
