The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault incident that took place at around 11:00PM last night in the 1600 block of Stratford Circle. Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of shots fired at a home on Stratford Circle. It was reported that a female resident of the home, her daughter, two teenage grandchildren and one other adult were inside the home when she heard four to five gunshots. At least two shots were found to have hit the house. One of the rounds grazed the left elbow of one of the male grandchildren who was sitting in the living room.
Emergency Medical Services were notified and responded to the scene. The victim, 17 year old Markees Burton was treated at the scene, but did not want to be transported to a hospital. No one else was injured during the incident.
