The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault that took place just after 10:30AM this morning. Deputies responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Goodwin Drive at around 10:45AM. It was reported that 18 year old Vaparian Fowler of Macon was visiting a relative, 44 year old Steven Jones, at the residence. Fowler reported that he heard a knock at the door. He went to the door, opened it and saw two black males at the door. One of the males had a gun and started firing rounds into the home.
Jones was struck once in the right hand. Fowler was struck once in the right shoulder. The suspect that had the gun was described as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches in height. He was wearing burgundy pajama type pants with what looked to have squares on them. He was not wearing a shirt. The second suspect was described as being a slim build. He was wearing black pants and a black shirt. Both suspects were described to be 18 to 20 years of age. The suspects were seen leaving the residence on foot. Both victims were transported to the Navicent Center to be treated. The injuries are non life threatening. No further information is available at this time.
