Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a suspicious person in the 4100 block of Mikado Avenue at around 11:19 p.m. Tuesday night. When deputies arrived at the location they found 25 year old Kenneth Dennard shot once in the abdomen. It was discovered through further investigation that Dennard had been shot at his residence at 925 Troupe Street.

 

It was reported that Dennard and another 30 year old male resident were inside the home on Troupe Street. A third resident was outside the home.  Dennard and the resident inside the home heard a knock at the front door. Four unknown black males all dressed in dark blue clothing and armed with guns, kicked the front door open, forcing their way into the home.  As the suspects entered the home one of the suspects fired several shots. One of the rounds struck Dennard. After being shot Dennard ran from the house where he was later found on Mikado Avenue. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene. They were last seen running towards Mikado Avenue.

 

Dennard was transported to the Navicent Center and treated for the gunshot wound. He is listed in stable condition. No further information is available on the suspects at this time. Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators were called to the scene.
