The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault that took place around 4:15p.m. Friday afternoon. The incident took place on Tredway Drive, next to a vacant building that is located at 1900 Shurling Drive. It was reported that 20 year old Kemani Ridgeway and his girlfriend parked their vehicle in the parking lot, next to the vacant building. Ridgeway got out of the vehicle to speak with three individuals who were standing next to the building.
During the conversation, an argument ensued, one of the three individuals brandished a gun and shot Ridgeway in the chest area. The three suspects fled the area and Ridgeway was later transported to a local hospital by ambulance. No one else was injured during this incident.
Investigators and patrol deputies are canvasing the area and interviewing possible witnesses in an attempt to identify and locate the three individuals involved.
