Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators and members of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force have made an arrest involving the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Dakari Faulkner. This incident occurred on October 29, 2022, in the 2500 block of Willis Drive.
Investigators identified 26-year-old Shavion Devonta Ashley as a person of interest in connection with Faulkner’s death and had warrants issued for his arrest. Members of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force located Ashley at a home on Cambridge Drive and took him into custody, without incident.
Ashley is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of two counts of Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and Murder.
This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and charges are pending further investigation. The above information is preliminary and could change as the investigation progresses.
