Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Jeffery Hunter Jr., age 25, in connection to the fatal shooting of Danny Thomas Causey. Hunter was taken into custody at the Dollar General, located on Bloomfield Drive, without incident, at around 10:45a.m. Friday morning.

Hunter is the second person arrested in connection to this homicide investigation.

On December 20, 2018, Kaylen Devon Johnson was also arrested in connection to this fatal shooting incident and he was also charged with two other homicides that took place in April of this year.

Jeffery Hunter Jr. is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Murder and Probation Violation.

Suspect Arrested in Connection to 3 Separate Homicide Investigations

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force served arrest warrants on a 23-year-old male suspect in connection to three separate homicide investigations at around 8:00a.m., Thursday morning.

Kaylen Devon Johnson, of Macon, was arrested at the Majestic Garden Apartments, located at 2560 Rocky Creek Road.  Johnson was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators arrested Johnson in connection to the two homicides that took place on Mason Street and Vining Circle. Ann Kathleen Leonard and Marlon Jermaine Williams died from gunshot wounds that they received from this incident.

Johnson is the second suspect arrested in connection to this homicide investigation. Devantae Lundy was arrested on April 20, 2018.

Johnson was also charged in the recent homicide of Danny Thomas Causey which took place in downtown Macon. Terry Warren was also shot during this incident. Warren has been released from the hospital.

Johnson was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex where he is being held, without bond, for the charges of Murder (3 cts.), Participating in Street Gang Activity, Influencing Witness,  Failure to Appear- Felony, Probation Violation- Felony and Entering Auto.

 Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Shooting

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred behind 486 Martin Luther King Dr. just after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

It was reported that several shots were fired in the area of Martin Luther King Dr, near Poplar Street. When deputies arrived on scene, they found two male victims. One victim later identified as Terry Warren of Macon, was transported to the hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds and is listed in stable condition.  The second male identified as Danny Thomas Causey was pronounced dead on scene by Corner Leon Jones.   We are still in the early stages of this investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
