The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in the 2500 block of Rockycreek Road at around 10:00 pm. Thursday night. It was reported that a resident heard a loud noise outside their home. When the resident went to see what the noise was they saw someone lying in the roadway. It appeared that the person had been struck by a vehicle and the vehicle had left the scene.
The pedestrian, identified as 49 year old Ralph Stephens, was transported to the Navicent Center to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident. He is listed in stable condition. No information is available at this time on the vehicle that struck Stephens.
