The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident that occurred on Interstate 16 (east), at around 3:00p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The accident scene closed all east bound lanes of travel for approximately 30 minutes.
It was reported that a Dodge Durango, driven by 20 -year -old Danielle Wiley of Kathleen, collided with a Honda Accord, driven by 22 –year- old Cheyenne Cosby of Gray. The accident occurred on the Ocmulgee Bridge. During the accident the Dodge Durango rolled over several times, landing on its roof. The events that led to the accident are still being investigated. Bibb County Sheriff’s Traffic Investigators are still interviewing both drivers and possible witnesses.
Danielle Wiley and her three children were transported to the Medical Center Navicent Health and are listed to be in stable condition.
Cheyenne Cosby was not injured. No other persons were injured.
