The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident involving a pedestrian that took place just after 4:00p.m. Sunday afternoon. It was reported that Wayne Sjoquist, age 73 from Macon was struck by a Ford F150, driven by 41 year old Benjamin Hosalla of Lizella, as he entered the cross walk, in front of the Kroger, located at 220 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. Sjoquist was transported to a local hospital where he is listed to be in critical condition.
This accident is under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time. Anyone with information in reference to this incident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to leave a message for the “on-call” traffic investigator.
