The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at 2032 Vining Cir. just after 7:30p.m. Saturday evening. Deputies responded to the residence in regards to a welfare check request. Upon arrival they found a female lying in kitchen with a gunshot to the left side of the chest. The victim was identified as 75yr old Ann Kathleen Leonard, who lives at the residence. Leonard was pronounced deceased on scene. First Responders had to make forced entry into the residence. The next of kin has been notified. There was bullet hole in the rear window of the house. It is unknown at this time if the incident is related to the Mason St. shooting from earlier. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no suspect information at this time.
