Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 2172 Anthony Road, Henderson Stadium just after 11:30am in reference to a person shot. It was reported that 18yr old Travon Harden was walking down a pathway between Henderson stadium and Central Church of Christ, when he was shot. Witnesses stated they heard the shot and noticed Harden exited the pathway screaming he had been shot. Witnesses then called 911 for help. Deputies arrived and discovered Harden had been shot in the left arm. Harden reported to deputies he did not know who shot him.
After further investigation Harden admitted to investigators that he accidentally shot himself.
Harden was transported to Navicent Health where he was treated. He is listed in stable condition.
