The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Thursday morning just after 11:40 a.m. at the Walthall Station located at 4433 Forsyth Road. It was reported that the suspects, both black males, came into the store, approached the clerk and one suspect pointed a gun at the clerk demanding money. One of the stores employee’s was able to run from the store to the Quick Lube next door for help. The suspects took the store register from the cashier’s area and fled the store on foot through the woods behind this location. One of the stores employee’s hands was closed in the store’s door when she attempted to close the door to keep the suspect out. The employee’s hand was checked out by paramedics at the scene and no further medical attention was needed. No one else was injured during the robbery.

Both suspects were described as wearing black pants, black hoodies and white gloves, with bandanas coving their face.   

The incident is currently under investigation. According to Macon Regional Crimestoppers, an additional reward of $5000.00 has been offered by an anonymous donor for information leading to an arrest in the robbery.
