Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on I-75; pass the Sardis Church Road Exit just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. It was reported 26 year old Tyee Ingram was driving an 18 Wheeler tractor trailer traveling north bound on I-75 in the right lane when he struck, what he thought was a deer. When Ingram stopped to see what it was. He discovered he hit a white male that was crossing the roadway.
The pedestrian identified as 39 year old Bradford Johnson of Macon was pronounced dead on scene by Coroner Leon Jones.
The accident is currently being investigated and no charges have been made at this time. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
