The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Friday afternoon just before 3:00 p.m. at the Dollar General located at 3716 Houston Avenue. It was reported that two suspects, both black males, entered the store brandishing handguns. They approached the counter where employees stood and demanded the money from the cash register. While one suspect watched the employees at the front, the other emptied an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspects ran out of the store across Houston Avenue towards Colonial Terrace Apartments. No one was injured in the incident.
Both suspects were described as wearing all black clothing and red bandanas covering their faces.
