The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred on Thursday morning at around 2:45 a.m. at the Waffle House located at 5146 Mercer University Drive. It was reported that the suspects, described as two young black males, entered the restaurant armed with handguns and wearing masks. One of the suspects pointed a gun at one of the employees and demanded the money from the register. After taking the money, both suspects fled out through the back door of the restaurant. No one was injured during the robbery.
