The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred at the Family Dollar Store located at 2584 Rocky Creek Road just before 5:30 p.m. It was reported that the male suspect entered the store and made his way towards the counter. As a customer was completing a transaction, the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded for the employee to open the register. The suspect went behind the counter and took the money from the register himself. After taking the money the suspect jumped over the counter and fled from the store on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a thin black male with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray, ashy bluejeans and a black and white camouflaged type scarf over his face.
