The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Subway located at 630 North Avenue just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. It was reported that a black male entered the business and went behind the counter to where the employee was standing. The suspect pointed a handgun at the employee and told her to give him the money. She gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash from the store. The suspect turned and fled on foot behind the store in the direction of Tidewater Circle Apartments; behind Kroger.
The suspect was described as have a dark complexion; slender wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. He was also carrying a book bag. No one was injured during the incident.
