Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a traffic accident with injuries at around 10:45 p.m. Monday night on Shurling Drive near Norris Street. It was reported that a 2016 Kenworth Semi Tractor Trailer Truck, driven by 59 year old George Powers was traveling east on Shurling Drive. A 2014 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling west on Shurling Drive. The two vehicles collided on Shurling Drive near Norris Street. The driver of the Suburban was identified as 26 year old Rosheba Norwood.
Norwood died at the scene of the accident. Next of kin was notified by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. The accident is currently under investigation and no other details are available at this time.
