The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial unarmed robbery that occurred this afternoon at the State Bank & Trust Company located at 5890 Zebulon Road just before 4:00 p.m. It was reported that the suspect, a black male, walked into the bank the first time and stayed inside for a few minutes, then left. He returned a few minutes later, walked up to the teller counter and handed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect did not present a weapon. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect walked out of the bank on the shopping center parking lot side. He was last seen walking towards the parking lot area near the Kroger.
The suspect was described as wearing a dark colored baseball type cap, dark colored short sleeved pull over shirt and dark colored shorts. The suspect has some facial hair and is a stocky build. He was described as being around 6 feet 5 inches in height.
