The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an infant that occurred this morning. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Blossom Hill Estates, 4006 Mercer University Drive, just after 10:30 a.m. today in reference to a person down.
It was reported that a 3 month old female infant was found unresponsive inside her crib by the mother at the apartment complex at around 10:15 am. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the residence. The infant was pronounced dead by Corner Leon Jones. No foul play is suspected. An autopsy will be ordered by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. No other information is available at this time.
