The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the parking lot of Westside High School, located at 2851 Heath Road. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Heath Road at George Oxford Drive at around 1:15AM this morning in reference to two people shot. As deputies were responding to the location, it was also reported that two victims had been driven to local hospitals by third parties in personal vehicles.

It was reported that the two victims, a 21 year old male and 18 year old female, both from Macon, were at a party at a house in the 100 block of George Oxford Drive. A fight that did not involve the two victims occurred and the party ended. The male victim had already got into his vehicle which was parked in the parking lot of Westside High School and was leaving when he heard gunshots. He was struck on his left ear. The female victim was walking to the parking lot of Westside High School and was in the grassy area of the parking lot when she heard gunshots. She and others she was walking with got on the ground. She was struck once in the right foot. The male was taken to the Navicent Health Hospital where he was treated for his injury. The female was taken to Coliseum Northside Hospital where she was treated for her injury.  Both victims injuries were not life threatening and they were in stable condition.
