Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a house fire at 734 Carmen Place just after 6:30a.m. this morning. It was reported that the residents in the house woke up finding the living room on fire. Three people and 3 dogs were in the house at the time of the fire.

One person made it out of the home without serious injuries. Two other people in the home were rushed to the Navicent Health for injuries sustained in the fire. It was reported that all three occupants in the house were trying to put the fire out when they discovered it. Virginia Christian, 64 years old and Marcia Sauls, 51 years old were pronounced dead at the Navicent Health Hospital. The three dogs also died in the fire.
