Arrest Made In Recent Burglary Incident

Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Sergeant Steve Gatlin was patrolling the area of Harrison Road near Chambers Road on Monday, April 4, 2016, checking the location for two people that were possibly involved in a burglary that occurred on March 28, 2016 at the Water Wizard Car Wash, located at 6050 Harrison Road. While checking the area Sergeant Gatlin saw a white male that fit the description of one of the individual seen in the business’s surveillance video. He called for another deputy to assist him and got out with the suspect, engaging in conversation until the other deputy arrived. While talking with the male suspect, Sergeant Gatlin learned of the whereabouts of the female that was seen in the video with the male. She was located at 4604 Chambers Road, the Discovery Inn.

The male, identified as 43 year old Richard Burke and the female, identified as 44 year old Tina Toth, were detained and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Property Investigations Office for questioning. Burke and Toth were questioned by investigators and Burke was charged with Burglary. Through the investigation it was found that Toth was not a participant in the burglary of the business. Burke also has a hold for Gwinnett County for Violation of Probation. Burke has a bond amount set at $8,450.00.  Toth was charged with a Violation of Probation. No bond has been set for her.
