The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred at a residence at 2066 Melton Ave., just after 9:00a.m. Sunday morning. It was reported that 46yr old Raymond Harris, of Macon, was standing on the porch of his cousin’s house when he heard a shot and ran into the house. Harris was shot in the left shoulder. He was transported to Navicent Health Hospital to be treated for the injury. Harris is listed in stable condition. There is no description of a suspect at this time.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are questioning possible witnesses and following up on information on the incident.
