Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person shot just before 12:00 noon Tuesday, December 22nd on Lakeshore Drive. It was reported that the Macon-Bibb Fire Department was called to the location in reference to a vehicle fire. When they arrived they found some type of cloth stuck in the opening to the gas tank, on fire. While putting the small fire out firefighters discovered there was an unknown male in the vehicle and he was unresponsive.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the location and found a white male fatally wounded by a single gunshot. The male was identified as 43 year old Deleon Wiley Hudson, of Macon. Wiley was pronounced dead at the scene. The next of kin was notified by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
