“Hit and Run” Involving a Pedestrian

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a “Hit and Run” accident, involving a pedestrian that took place on Pio Nono Avenue at Carroll Street,  at around 8:51p.m., Sunday.  It was reported that 38 year old Antonial Tontee White of Macon was possibly crossing the north bound lanes of travel on Pio Nono Avenue when a black in color S.U.V. collided with him. The vehicle sped off, heading north on Pio Nono Avenue.

White was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. He is listed to be in Critical Condition.

Bibb Sheriff’s Traffic Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping locate the suspect vehicle. The vehicle is described as a black in color S.U.V. The vehicle was possibly a Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator. The vehicle was also described as having large rims and a Florida license plate. There should be damage to the front of the vehicle.
