Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to 5471 Thomaston Road, John Wesley Villas in reference to an elderly female found unresponsive at the bottom of an embankment in the rear of the Villas. The call was initially received at 4:39AM from EMS to the Macon-Bibb 911 Dispatch Center.
Lucille Brown, 92 years of age was last seen at around 2:00AM when she was checked on by a caretaker at the complex. The caretaker went back again later to check on Brown and did not find her in her room. After searching the inside of the building, the caretaker began looking outside and found Brown at the bottom of the embankment. Investigators with the Bibb Sheriff’s Office were informed that Brown suffered from dementia. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Bibb Sheriff’s Investigators are currently investigating the incident. No foul play is suspected at this time.
