Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Is Investigating a Homicide in South Macon

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred outside an apartment at 3401 Houston Avenue,  Pendleton Homes,  around 11:06p.m. Tuesday night. It was reported, 29 year old Javoris Butler of Macon was visiting with friends outside the apartment when he was shot by an unidentified black male. Butler was transported to Medical Center Navicent Health where he died.  Butler was pronounced dead by Medical Center Doctors at 11:43pm. The next of kin was notified.

The Bibb  Sheriff’s  Investigators are still questioning witnesses and investigating the incident. There is no further information available on the suspect at this time.
