Derek Motez Taylor, 29 years old, from Macon, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at around 4:15PM by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of Clayton County Sheriff’s Office. Taylor was located in Clayton County Georgia and was arrested without incident. Taylor is charged with 6 counts of aggravated assault and 12 counts of violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act. The arrest and charges are in reference to the fatal shooting incident at the Wings Café, 2822 Bloomfield Drive, on December 12, 2014. Taylor is also charged with violation of probation.
Taylor was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex and booked on the charges. Bond has been set for Taylor at this time.
