On June 15, 2015, a wanted suspect in connection to a Joint Investigation between the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office turned himself over to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.  Anthony Simmons, age 34 from Sacramento, California, voluntarily turned himself over to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Unit in reference to an outstanding warrant for the offence of False Statements and Writings. Anthony Simmons is accused of the following:

  • Anthony Simmons did file a fraudulent “Notice of Contest of Lien” and “Affidavit of Possession” in the Bibb County Superior Court Clerk’s Office on the property of 3691 Holley Rd. Lizella, GA.
  • The accused subsequently contacted a locksmith to have the realtor locks removed in an effort to further convert the property to his possession.
  • The accused was located at the property by the realtor, and subsequently contacted law enforcement.

 

 

Simmons was booked in on June 15, 2015 at around 4:15p.m., later released at around 8:25p.m., with a bond amount of $2,950.00.
