The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted commercial armed robbery that occurred at the Microtel Inn and Suites, located at 2020 Bowman Park Blvd, around 9:20p.m. Sunday night. The suspect entered the office and stated that he had a hand gun. The suspect demanded money from the cash register. Once the clerk heard this, she fled the hotel by running out of the back door. The suspect was last seen running out the front door. No money was taken and no one was injured during this incident.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5 foot 10 inches in height, with a slender build. He had reddish blonde hair, beard and mustache and appeared to be in his mid to late twenties. He was wearing a dark blue pullover shirt.
