It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that Bibb Sheriff David Davis and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office regretfully inform you that on June 11, 2015, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Keelo passed away in his sleep while at the residence of his assigned handler, Investigator Anthony Freeman.

Keelo was a Belgian Malinois narcotics detection dog purchased from South Georgia K-9 by the Macon Police Department in 2008.  After consolidation, Keelo was assigned to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and handled by Investigator Anthony Freeman with the BCSO Special Investigations Division. During this time Keelo and Investigator Freeman were responsible for numerous significant narcotics seizures.

Keelo had a very successful and prosperous career and will be sorely missed by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office family. Keelo’s final arrangements are being handled by Hart’s Petuary located at 6324 Peake Rd.  Keelo was nine years of age at the time of his passing.

Please keep Investigator Freeman and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time
