The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident at the corner of Norris St and Woolfolk St. that happened just before midnight on Saturday night. It was reported that a 1999 Ford Expedition struck the side of the Memorial Baptist Church. The driver of the Expedition fled the scene, leaving behind a 1 year old female, 3 year old male, and a 5 year old male in the vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies were able to determine that a 23 year old Dontavius King 5’09” around 155lbs, of Macon was driving the 1999 Ford Expedition when the accident happened. The three children were transported to the Medical Center of Navicent Health Hospital for treatment. The 1 year old and 5 year old are listed in stable condition and the 3 year old is listed in critical but stable condition.

The traffic accident is under investigation. No other injuries were reported.
