The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place this morning just before 10:45AM. It was reported that a black male dressed in all dark clothing entered the Title Max located at 3597 Mercer University Drive. The suspect displayed a handgun when he entered the business. The suspect demanded money from the female employee in the business. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash drawers, the suspect took the employee to a backroom and tied her hands and feet. He demanded her purse, which she told him where it was located. The suspect took the keys to the victim’s vehicle from her purse and also took her cell phone. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s 2008 blue BMW 328I. The victim was able to get loose and call 911 for help.

The victim’s vehicle was found abandoned a short time later on Westminister Drive near New Castle Drive. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches in height and weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He was reported to be wearing dark colored pants, a black hoodie with an “Ecko Unlimited” logo on the hoodie, and a baseball cap. His face was covered with a light colored handkerchief or bandana. He was wearing canvas type, dark colored boots with the pants tucked in the boots.  The victim was not injured during the incident.
