The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Georgia Department of Transportation this evening that a small stretch of Vineville Avenue will definitely remain closed to traffic tonight through mid to late Tuesday morning due to repairs that need to be made as a result of the large sink hole. The updated detour locations are as follows. Inbound traffic on Vineville Avenue is being detoured at Desoto Place. Outbound traffic on Vineville Avenue is being detoured at Pionono Avenue. Morning commuters should be advised that there may be delays due to the detours.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will keep everyone updated on any changes as to the time period of the road closure and any further delays.
