Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators served an arrest warrant on a Macon man in connection to the death of 29-year-old Rashad Shaquille Reddick. The incident occurred on April 19, 2024, in the 3500 block of Fair Street. Today the U.S Marshals Fugitive Task Force located 28-year-old Kahlid Harper at a home in the 5100 block of Nesbit Drive.

Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to connect Harper to the shooting death of Rashad Reddick. Harper was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where he is being held without bond.

Death Investigation on Fair Street

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred within the 3500 block of Fair Street on April 19, 2024, at 11:48 p.m. Friday.

Deputies responded to a call reporting shots fired on Fair Street. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a 29-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded to the scene to treat the victim for his injuries. According to Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, Rashad Shaquille Reddick was pronounced deceased on the scene. The next of kin has been notified. No one else has been reported injured.

Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
