The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the 4000 block of Forest Ave West just after 2:17 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to a call about a person found unresponsive lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies found a white male suffering from what appeared to be a single stab wound.
The male was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff. The next of kin has not been notified. The victim is described as a white male possibly in his late fifties to early sixties. He is believed to be homeless.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still determining what led up to the stabbing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
The victim will be sent to GBI for an autopsy.
