The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on December 17, 2023, on Pio Nono Avenue at Rocky Creek Road.
It was reported that a Nissan Sentra, driven by a 51-year-old female of Macon, was traveling south on Pio Nono Avenue and attempted to make a left turn at a red light toward Rocky Creek Road. The Nissan was struck by a Honda CRV that was traveling north on Pio Nono Avenue, driven by a 31-year-old of Macon. The drivers from both vehicles were transported to Atrium Health. The female driver is listed in critical condition currently. The male was treated for complaints of injuries. No one else was injured during the incident.
