Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Fatality Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping identify the driver of the vehicle that struck 46-year-old Tracie Yvonne Pitts. The incident occurred on March 15, 2023, at 9:43 p.m.

It was reported that the vehicle that struck Pitts originally left the scene and later returned. The owner of the vehicle met with Fatality Investigators and stated that a black male, who is a “shade tree” mechanic and goes by the street name of “D”, or Debo was test-driving her vehicle when the incident occurred. “D”or Debo returned the vehicle to the owner and stated that she needed to go to the scene on Rocky Creek Road.

Investigators are continuing to work on identifying the mechanic. It has currently been reported that the mechanic lives in the Bloomfield area. He is in his thirties. His height is around 5’6” and weighs about 160 lbs. He is known to walk his pit bull daily in the Rocky Creek and Bloomfield areas.
